During your Functional Nutrition Consultation - our first appointment together - we will do a deep dive into your health history and goals. This conversation lays the foundation of our collaboration and guides my wellness recommendations.
You'll leave this appointment with a personalized nutrition plan including daily food goals, a list of your very own superfoods, recommendations on supplements (if necessary) and self-care homework. We'll also take some time to map out the skills, resources and mindsets we need to tackle to help you make progress on your health goals.
What happens next is largely dependent on what you need to cultivate the daily habits necessary to change your health. Most often, clients work with me over a 6-month period. This amount of time together allows us to practice new skills, have "real-life" moments that your health habits, explore new ways of eating/moving/thinking/cooking, and fully embody the lifestyle changes that give you greater clarity, vitality and wellbeing. I offer a la carte services, as well as programs to support this process.

Functional nutrition focuses on the interplay between the food we eat and the way we feel - body, mind and heart. This holistic approach considers not just calories, nutrients and vitamins, but also other "foods" like stress, sleep patterns, relationships, life satisfaction and physical activity. I looks beyond symptoms of anxiety, brain fog and ADHD for signs of inflammation, gut dysfunction and hormone imbalance in search of the root cause.

My job is to be a teacher, coach and cheerleader. Your job is to show up with curiosity, mindfulness, and a willingness to try new things so you can do the hard work of changing habits that aren't supporting you.
My long-term goal is to train you up to be your own wellness guide. To get there, we need to educate you about your body, build meal planning, cooking and self-care skills, and establish a reflection practice so you know what's working for you and what's not. This takes time, practice, patience and diligence.
