Want to change your mood? Change your food. 

When you work with Jesse you get so much more than a nutritionist telling you what to eat and what not to eat. You get a teacher to tell you why. You get a coach to show you how. You get a cheerleader to support you on your way. And you get an intuitive healer to hold a mirror to old habits and patterns that aren't serving you.

During your Nutrition Consultation - your first appointment with me - we will do a deep dive into your health history and goals. This conversation lays the foundation of our work together and guides my nutrition recommendations. 

You'll leave this appointment with a personalized nutrition plan including daily food goals, a list of your very own superfoods, recommendations on supplements (if necessary) and self-care homework. We'll also take some time to map out the skills, resources and mindsets we need to tackle to really get you on your way. 

What happens next is largely dependent on what you need to cultivate the habits necessary to change your health. Sometimes getting a curated nutrition plan isn't quite enough to get the job done. We'll map out a follow-up plan together so you have the support and accountability you need to make sustainable changes to your daily habits. This plan may include my 3-month Wellness Coaching program or a few follow-up visits over time.

WHAT IS FUNCTIONAL NUTRITION

Functional nutrition focuses on the interplay between the food we eat and the way we feel - body, mind and heart. ​This holistic approach considers not just calories, nutrients and vitamins, but also other "foods" like stress, sleep patterns, relationships, life satisfaction and physical activity. I look beyond symptoms of anxiety, brain fog and ADHD to signs of inflammation, gut dysfunction and hormone imbalance in search of the root cause. 

Your healing journey starts with a thorough conversation about your health history, daily habits and diet. I take a very collaborative approach with my clients. I want you walking away from your sessions feeling empowered, inspired and motivated to get started. Together we pull together a personalized nutrition and self-care plan made just for you.

A Functional Nutrition plan includes:
  • Daily food goals
  • Your personal superfoods
  • Recommendations for supplementing with pharmaceutical-grade nutrients and herbs
  • Recommendations on movement and/or exercise
  • Self-care 'homework' 
My job is to be a teacher, coach and cheerleader. Your job is to show up with curiosity, mindfulness, and a willingness to try new things so you can do the hard work of changing habits that aren't supporting you.
 

My long-term goal is to train you up to be your own wellness guide. To get there, we need to educate you about your body, build meal planning, cooking and self-care skills, and establish a reflection practice so you know what's working for you and what's not. This takes time, practice, patience and diligence.
