There is no separation of mind, body & spirit.

The intersection of food and mood has been a personal experience for me. Throughout my life I have experienced anxiety and panic, depression and extreme fatigue. I’ve struggled to carry a conversation because my attention was easily diverted by “shiny things.” Some of it has been downright scary - I once went to see my doctor because I was having such a hard time recalling words. I worried I had a brain tumor (thankfully, that wasn't the case).

Through all of this, I kept coming back to food. Exploring what happens when I eliminate “X” or add in “Y.” What I’ve learned is that food is a powerful healer. I now know how to prevent the irritability that comes with anxiety and the ADD that robs me of my focus. The seasonal shifts in my mood are predictable and unremarkable. My energy is great.

This still takes effort on my part, but it’s effort that pays off in ways that have improved my quality of life, my communication skills, my relationships and my ability to help others do the same.

I know how to eat – and live – in a way that maintains my mental wellbeing.

This is what I want for you too.

When you work with me, you get access to much more than just my personal healing journey. I’ve been studying nutrition for more than a decade and have helped hundreds of people on their own path to wellness. I bring in my knowledge of food, functional nutrition, therapeutic supplementation and mind-body medicine to every one-on-one session and group. This is my holistic approach, one that I have honed over more than 15 years of working in alternative health care.
